Pastor

Brad Biggerstaff serves as a pastor at Downey United Methodist Church. Originally from Nashville, TN. Brad’s ministerial work has taken him many places. He has served as pastor in rural Appalachia, suburban Atlanta, GA, and the San Francisco Bay Area prior to coming to Downey. Brad received his Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN, and his Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He also serves on the advisory board for Interfaith Sustainable Food Collaborative. In his free time, Brad and his wife, Morgan, enjoy exploring LA County neighborhoods and restaurants.

Pastor

Christy Clark serves as a pastor at Downey United Methodist Church. Rev. Christy was ordained a Deacon in Full Connection within the United Methodist Church in June of 2024. Since then, she has served as Executive Director of Strengthening the Black Village (SBV), a nonprofit ministry that serves families who have been court-mandated to take parenting classes. She continues to serve in this role while co-pastoring. Rev. Christy is married to Marlon. They have a son, Shaun who is starting college this year, and they have a Jack Russell Terrier named tuggles. Rev. Christy enjoys reading, dancing, making jewelry, playing cards and board games, and the occasional trip to the theater—with Junior Mints and an Icee in hand.
